The Little Minister

Director: Richard Wallace

Sumptuous production values are one of the charms of this couthy gem. A straight-laced
vicar, John Beal, takes up a position in a 19th-century Scottish village and falls in love
with an unlikely gypsy, Katherine Hepburn, who is campaigning against a factory driving local weavers out of business. A village scandal soon erupts over their relationship.
Lawrence Sutcliffe will be on hand to give his usual erudite introduction.
