Eating and drinking....

There is a reasonable choice of places to eat and drink in Cromarty itself.

 

At this year's  Festival Hub, (The Old Brewery), Mairi will be offering snacks all day, including freshly home-made soup, baked potatoes, sandwiches and wraps with various fillings, crépes, scones, and tea and coffee.

Sutor Creek Cafe is situated by the harbour, a licensed, café / restaurant which specialises in pizza cooked in a purpose built wood fired oven and the best local seafood. A wide range of daily specials are also available which are based on locally sourced, seasonal products. The Cromarty Arms, in Church Street, offers a range of good pub grub, plus tea & coffee. Open usual licensing hours. Tel: 01381 600230


The Emporium Bookshop, in the High Street, offers a choice of teas, cafétiere coffee, yummy hot chocolate and cold drinks in their cosy coffee-shop, all with a choice of biscuits included in the price!  They also have a great range of books, (new & secondhand), plus greetings & postcards, jewellery, gifts, and toys.  Good for a browse for unusual Christmas presents!      Open 10.30am till 4.30 pm daily. www.cromartyemporium.co.uk


The Cromarty Bakery, at the High St end of Bank Street, has great savouries, pastries and cakes for a quick snack or an alfresco meal by the sea (very bracing in December!); they also serve take-away hot drinks. Open 8.30am till 4pm Saturday.


The Cromarty Stores (Londis) is opposite the Bakery in Bank Street, and has a take-away coffee machine, plus all the usual foody goods. Open 8.30am till 3pm Saturday.
